More than just the Light Rail

The installation of 52 electronic information signs along the route of the rapid transit lines in Jerusalem is nearing completion. The express bus lines are also getting new bus stops, similar to the light rail stops. The signs will inform passengers when the next buses will arrive at the rapid transit stop.

A thousand free parking spaces for light rail and bus passengers
Three Park and Ride car parks have opened along the route of the light rail. The car parks allow you to park free of charge and ride the light rail from the stations at Ammunition Hill, Mt. Herzl and Pisgat Ze’ev.

Special arrangements for operating the Light Rail
Special accessibility attendants will be stationed at certain Light Rail stops to assist the elderly and persons with special needs.
The attendants wear bright blue vests that are easy to identify. All the attendants are students who have undergone special training.

The south-western stage
According to plan, in another 8 weeks CityPass will upgrade the service on the light rail and the implementation of the southwestern stage of the new transportation system will begin: 22 new, short bus routes and greater accessibility to points inside the neighborhoods.
